Head down to Kusu Island for a change of scenery to visit its shrines and temples such as the Dabogong temple. At Kusu Island, also known as “Tortoise Island”, you’ll come across a tortoise sanctuary with plenty of tortoises roaming around! The water is pretty calm and is suitable for snorkeling. If you wish to cool off on a sunny day, you may bring your own snorkeling gear. This is also the only place where you can buy drinks!

Get affordable island hopping ferry rides

Take this opportunity to take a breather and get close to nature. You do not need to spend a bomb to go island hopping, a $15 ferry ticket is all it takes! To purchase your ferry tickets, visit Marina South Pier Ferry Terminal, you will see a bright orange booth right outside Marina South Pier MRT Exit A. Please take note that there are limited parking lots at the terminal, do consider heading there via public transport.

By bus: board 402 and alight at Marina South Pier Stop.

By MRT: board the North South Line train to Marina South Pier MRT and head out via Exit A
