(This restaurant is now permanently closed)

Located at Bugis Junction, near Liang Seah street where multiple hotpot buffets can be found, is Wagyu More. Wagyu More originated from Hong Kong and aims to provide quality meat and ingredients in its selection. With 2 different buffets (standard and premium), you’re able to see the price you’d prefer as different cuts would be provided for the different price points. The standard buffet provides the main ingredients and the standard shabu slices (chicken, pork and beef) as well as prawns and fish. However, if you’re looking for the better quality meat, the premium tiers are split based on the type of quality shabu cut you want. So you can choose to pay for having free flow of the different shabu cuts at a premium top up with the cuts being; black angus beef, spanish iberico pork, australian wagyu beef and japanese A5 wagyu beef.

Here’s a feature of the cooked food section, with there being fried buns (mantou), fried chicken as well as fried dumplings. The cooked food was quite standard, but the fried chicken and fried dumplings are a little dry, so do take a few to try before binging on them.

Other than that, we also have the sides section where salad, cold dishes and fruits can be found if you would like to have some appetisers before the meal.

Wagyu More Sauces

The sauces section has a large selection of sauces for you to mix together your favourite concoction for your hotpot dip to enjoy with your food.

Wagyu More Collagen Soup

We ordered the collagen soup and it came in the form of a jellified collagen in the shape of their mascot cow! It was really cute and made for a great photo moment. The soup was great at the start, but once we started drinking it and they topped it up, it got more diluted and had to have other ingredients added in to sweeten the soup.

We went all out and started off immediately with lots of meat ordered! Being not afraid to order, we took some ingredients like vegetables and prawns to sweeten the soup whilst having the sauces to pair with the meat. The shabu shabu were of quality and went really well with the sauces.

Wagyu More

Wagyu More is a hotpot buffet place that promises quality cuts of meat and delivers as promised. For a comparison, if you’re looking at the standard hotpot buffets like suki-ya or the ones found along Liang Seah Street, you can be sure that the meat here would be of better quality than the ones found there. Of course, you’re expected to pay the price of what you eat and the price at Wagyu More is more expensive than what you’d find at the other places. Overall, if you’re looking for quality cuts of meat and have a higher budget to spend, you may choose to drop by here. But if you’re on a budget and are looking for value for money, you might consider the buffets along Liang Seah Street instead where they provide a wide range of ingredients for a steal of a deal.
