We recently found out about a mookata that’s cheap and has a great selection of dishes so we’ve had to go and give it a try. Located at a coffeeshop in an industrial building, you would expect it to be hard to find, but it’s actually located just a short walk away from Bendemeer MRT station.

The location was spacious with lots of tables as the coffeeshop was quite large, when we were there, almost every table was having mookata and enjoying it. Considering that we went on a weekend, there were still empty tables when we expected it to be full! Be sure to get your mookata fix before it gets too popular.

At Super Thai Mookata, it’s an ala carte buffet, so you’ll be given a slip of paper where you may select the items you wish to order and they’ll send it over to you. You’re free to help yourself to the free flow thai milk tea (both red and green) and the sauces at the counter. Do remember to add ice into your drinks as the milk teas are served hot from the dispenser.

Menu
As the menu shows, the standard buffet ($18.80 for weekdays/$21.80 for weekends) contains the normal mookata dishes as well as pork and chicken meat. If you opt for the premium buffet ($28.80 for weekdays/$31.80 for weekends), you’ll be able to get beef, black pork as well as premium seafood like salmon, crayfish and oysters! Just indicate the quantity of each dish you want and hand it to the staff, they’ll get it to you in no time.

Vegetables
The vegetable dishes came nicely portioned and you can gauge the amount you’ll consume as they come. Having the vegetables in the soup or grilled both tasted good so you could choose what you prefer.

Meat Platter
The meat came in small portion sizes but with a wide variety of marinated meat choices. Black pepper, garlic, teriyaki and cumin were our top picks but you could give the others a try as well. We ordered more pork than chicken as chicken takes longer to cook. The meat wasn’t fantastic, but for the price, it was well worth considering the selection available.

Seafood
As for the seafood, they came off decent but not fantastic. We had way more meat compared to seafood, though the scallops had a slight fishy taste to it so stay away from it if you dislike the fishy taste. We grilled the fish and scallops and had the prawns boiled before grilling them. You may choose which way you would like to cook but we would recommend grilling the scallops.
Super Thai Mookata
Overall, the mookata buffet here was well worth it for the very affordable nett price it offered whilst still providing free flow milk tea. The quality isn’t the best, with lots of other mookata having better quality but with its hard to beat prices, this is definitely value for money and well worth paying a visit if you’ve got the appetite for a large meal. Do note that they do have a time limit of 120 mins, but that should be more than enough for your meal.
