If you love cute things or are looking for a place to bring your kids, Roji Monster Ice Cream is an amazing ice cream shop to drop by. From the outside you’d be able to spot the Roji Monster mascot on a table staring at you.
Located along Tanjong Pagar Road, it’s in an easily accessible area surrounded by many food establishments. Hence you’ll expect it to be filled up after lunch/dinner time, when people head over after their meals for a light dessert.

Featuring the whimsical and playful monster-themed decor to the creamy frozen ice cream, drop by and maybe take some pics with the playful mascots or lanterns within as well.

With five different ice cream flavours as a base, you may choose between: milk, uji matcha, black sesame, belgian chocolate and coconut & taro. Once you’ve decided, grab your card and look at the wide variety of toppings available. You can then stamp the toppings you want to pair your ice cream with on the card.

We decided on going with the milk ice cream with ice cheese cubes and matcha & taro balls as toppings! There’s still a whole other selection of toppings you may choose ranging from sweet or savoury flavours to crispy or soft textures.

Monster Ice Cream ($12.90)
The ice cream was absolutely cute, with the monster eyes staring back at us. The milk ice cream was soft and creamy, but might have done better if the taste of the milk was stronger. The eyes were similar to meringue, tasting like a mouthful of sugar.
As for the toppings, the matcha and taro balls were a little bland on the flavour, seemingly more flour than the actual taste of the matcha or taro. The ice cheese cubes were fantastic on their own, but perhaps was not suited for the milk ice cream as the strong cheese taste overpowered the lighter milk taste.

Monster Waffles ($10.90)
We ordered waffles and the waffles was crispy on the outside and yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The texture was akin to that of a pancake, being lightly airy and springy with a floof to it that kept the waffles bouncy.

Roji Monster Ice Cream
Overall, our experience at Roji Monster was cute and would be great for kids and families as well as people wanting to grab an IG shot. The milk ice cream was soft and creamy, but lacked richness in flavour. The waffles was crisp and fluffy and would be a great choice to try.
We saw some people having their orders mixed up after taking different tables from the ones assigned. So be sure to let the staff know if you want to change tables so that your orders would be delivered correctly. The atmosphere is light and playful, with cute ice cream designs that would be perfect to bring kids for.
