Jollibee has firmly established itself in Singapore’s culinary scene. It is a fast food chain from the Philippines that has gained popularity in recent years. They are known for their delicious Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti. Being inexpensive, Jollibee has many affordable options ranging from their one piece chicken set with rice to other value meals. Jollibee has many outlets in Singapore, making it easily accessible and is a great spot to fill your fried chicken cravings.
With multiple outlets across Singapore, including locations in NEX, Woodlands, and Bedok Mall, Jollibee is easily accessible for a quick meal or a family gathering. However, during peak hours, finding a seat can be challenging. Fortunately, the self-service ordering kiosks streamline the process, allowing for efficient ordering without long queues. Generally the food doesn’t take too long to be prepared before it arrives, so be snappy about ordering at the kiosk and you’ll receive your food quicker.
Chickenjoy
We ordered an 8-piece Chickenjoy bucket, evenly split between spicy and original flavors. Each piece was fried to a golden brown, boasting a crispy exterior. We were given a mixture of breasts, thighs and drumsticks.
The chicken within was soft and tender, with the meat within still leaking juices. The seasoning was well-balanced and dipping the chicken into the accompanying gravy felt amazing. The gravy reminded us of traditional mashed potato sauce and complemented the chicken perfectly.
Jolly Spaghetti
The Jolly Spaghetti, the other popular dish at Jollibee, stood out with its unique sweet-style sauce. The combination of the sweet bolognese styled meat sauce, topped with a generous layer of cheese, provided a creamy texture that was satisfying.
The spaghetti was different as the sauce differs vastly from the traditional italian style sauce. The meat sauce had a balanced taste, blending the sweetness of the sauce and the savoury taste of the meat. The cheese layer on top of the sauce further added to the taste by giving it a light and creamy feel.
Fries
While the fries were decent, it was a less salty version compared to other fast-food chains, and they lacked the desired crispness. Nonetheless, they served as a suitable side to the main Chickenjoy.

Jollibee allows you to have an affordable meal, being able to fill you up easily with the large amount of carbs they provide. The Chickenjoy as well as Jolly Spaghetti were lovely and are our favourite recommended dishes to try. Do try the chicken together with the chicken gravy to see if it is to your liking. Whilst some of us liked the chicken gravy, it was not a sentiment shared by all.
For an enhanced dining experience, consider visiting during off-peak hours to secure seating more easily. Explore different menu combinations, such as pairing the Chickenjoy with the Jolly Spaghetti, or pairing the Chickenjoy with their rice can offer a more diverse taste of Jollibee’s offerings. Additionally, trying out their desserts, like the Peach Mango Pie, can provide a satisfying end to your meal.
