Creamier is a household name to many people for ice cream. Opened in 2011, it has been one of the staple ice cream cafes around Singapore. It also has a sister cafe, Sunday Folks at Holland Village. Known for its creamy and rich ice cream, with generous servings, on their crispy waffles, Creamier tends to attract quite a crowd.
We visited Creamier on a Friday nearing its closing hours and were blessed to find a short queue with fewer people waiting around for tables. You can usually expect to find a crowd and wait for a bit as people come over to get their ice cream fix. They also sell coffee and tea but we did not get them as it was too late to have caffeine at that time.
Ice Cream Selection
Creamier prides itself for making good quality ice creams using premium handcrafted in small batches daily at their onsite kitchens. Even then, you’re still able to find a large variety of unique flavours whilst upholding their standards. As we were feeling unadventurous, we decided on getting the traditional flavours to test.
Waffles and Ice Cream
We decided on waffles with roasted pistachio and butterscotch almond ice cream to share. The ice creams were really creamy, and milky, exuding exactly what Creamier prides itself in. We would have preferred for the taste to have been a little thicker and more dense on the pistachio as it would have made for a more intense flavour. The butterscotch almond was sweet and had a mellow and pleasant aftertaste that went well with the waffles. Though the waffles were freshly made, they would have been better if they were a little more crispy to add to the mouthfeel of the whole dessert.
Creamier
If you’re a fan of ice creams, especially creamy ones, you should pay Creamier a visit to experience how handcrafted creamy ice creams taste like. Creamier is known for both their standard flavours and some other unique flavours, but the most well known is probably their roasted pistachio. If you’re in other parts of Singapore, not to worry as there’s four other outlets that you may visit as well.
