Located near Dhoby Ghaut, it is just opposite School of the Arts (SOTA), at Rendezvous Hotel, and might be easily missed if you’re not looking out for it. 90 Minutes is an all you can eat tteokbukki buffet that as the name says all, allows you to eat your fill for a full 90 minutes.

90 Minutes actually opened in April 2021, though it opened without much fanfare due to Singapore shifting back to Phase 2 Heightened Alert. Looking at how far it has come from opening during Covid measures period to being able to stand strong shows a lot about what you can expect here.

The restaurant is spacious and open, with both big and small tables, being able to serve up to groups of 8 if required. Fret not if you’re visiting in big groups as larger tables have more pots to use with the tables arranged to have a pot shared between 4 people.

Raw Meat and Teok Section
The buffet selection is split into two different segments, with this containing the meat, seafood and tteok as well as some ham and crab meat. Notable items that people took a lot of are the chicken, pork collar, pork belly, lala and prawns.

Amongst the tteok, there are 5 different types to try, being the round, sliced, hollow, sweet potato and cheese ones. The sweet potato (purple) and the cheese (yellow) ones were particularly interesting and should be given a try.

Vegetables and Mushroom Section
The other segment has more on the vegetables, mushrooms, eggs, carbs and cooked food.

Eomuk Section
Not to forget, the eomuk section, where many sticks of eomuk were left heated. If there isn’t any, just let any of the staff know and they’ll be more than willing to fill it up again!

Soup Base Sauce Section
This is the soup base sauce selection where there are 7 different sauces to choose from: homemade, gungjung, carbonara, tteokbokki, jajang, volcano and mala sauce. Amongst the different sauces, you’re able to mix and match as you like to tune your preferred sauce.

If you’ve no clue as to how to mix it, just let the staff know and they’ll whip out the right mixture for you depending on your preferred spice level etc.

Cooked Food and Kimchi
Of course, we also took out some of the kimchi and cooked food since you’ve got to get some things to eat whilst waiting for the food to cook. The fried chicken was decent when hot and the mandu was a tad bit disappointing.

The kimmari especially was great after dipping it into the tteokbokki sauce base and letting it simmer for a while. The kimchi was also great though some people felt that it was a bit more fermented than they would have preferred.

Cooking our Eomuk in the Pot
We started by cooking our eomuk first as these were already heated and just required a little bit of work in the sauce to get it going. The eomuk were great, being slightly chewy and bouncy, it tasted slightly sweet and had quite a distinct fish taste. For people who like fishcakes, it’s not the best eomuk but it is decent for a buffet standard eomuk.

Our Giant Bowl of Ingredients
We started out taking a little of everything, from all the different meat, lala, prawns, crab meat, vegetables, mushrooms and the different types of tteok. You never know what you like til you’ve tried it yourself!

Tteokbokki Hotpot and Cheese Wheel
We ordered the cheese wheel to go along with the tteokbokki pot and it was totally awesome, being creamy and cheesy with corn added in the mix! Do note that it gets cool in about 15 minutes so enjoy the cheese whilst it’s hot to get the maximum satisfaction you can out of it.

The food and ingredients were what you’d expect at a buffet place and didn’t differ much in expected quality. We had multiple servings of the different meat and lala as well as the tteok, eomuk and vegetables.

Adding Rice to the Pot
After you’re done with the tteokbokki hotpot, let the staff know and they’ll move into your second round, the fried rice edition. They’ll use what’s left of your pot and add in rice, seaweed, spam as well as the rest of your cheese wheel. If you want anything else added in, you can let them know before they start cooking.

Stir Fried Rice
The final dish looks so well cooked and marinated with a nice char taste. The sauce sticks to the rice well and the ingredients were great to go along with the rice. The staff also made it into a nicely shaped dome that helped show off the evenly cooked rice and colours.

Special Sunset Drink
If you’ve never been here before, the drinks are at a dispenser that you can mix yourself with. There are apparently a few different combinations that’s supposed to be mixable and you can try to find the different combinations. Here’s one combination that leaves you with a pretty two colours drink concoction! (Hint: the mixed drinks are pink and green in colour)
