Tucked away in the idyllic plains of Seletar, Wildseed Cafe brings you into a world of greenery with blooming views. Wildseed Cafe offers an escape from the city with a view of the lush greenery around. With alfresco dining as an option, you can enjoy the great outdoors whilst taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

With a range of freshly roasted coffee, floral cakes, and pastries, you can have great western fusion cuisine or your all day brunch menu here. As it is at Seletar Aerospace Park, do plan time to have a walk along the gardens where they grow the produce which are used in Garden Domes, the farm to table restaurant in the area as well.

Looking at the selection available, we decided to go for pastas and pizzas as we were in the mood for something savoury.

The soft shell chilli crab linguine was spicy and had a tang to it, bringing similarities to the chilli crab dishes that Singapore specialises in. Whilst it bears some similarities, it’s worth noting that the chilli crab sauce was distinct with a hint of sourness based commonly found in cherry tomatoes. With the crunchy soft shell crab pairing with the sauce, the pasta tasted great but would not be suitable for people who aren’t comfortable with spice.

With the wagyu and pork ragout linguine, the pasta taste stood out more, with the focus of the taste being the sauce. The tenderness and quality of wagyu couldn’t really be differentiated from normal beef but it might have been due to it being in mincemeat form. The beef and pork do blend well together with the fresh tomato sauce to have a wholesome and familiar pasta taste.

The curly fries were crisp and fried till a deep golden brown. With a fresh seasoning of truffle salt and mayonnaise to go with it, the fries were made of fresh potatoes and we even felt like getting another serving of it.

The truffle brie pizza was a great combo, with the saltiness of the cheese and the truffle blending in together with the rocket to form a clean and refreshing taste that ends with a light truffle aftertaste lingering. We enjoyed the pizza and it was a refreshing change from the savoury pasta we had as well.
Wildseed Cafe
Overall, Wildseed Cafe is a really great place to meet up with friends and chill. It has great food ranging from savoury dishes to brunch sets and even desserts. It’s a laidback place where you can enjoy the scenery and have an afternoon drinking coffee and just chatting with your friends. Do head down for a visit if you’re feeling weighed down by the hustle and bustle of the city and would like to escape from the fast paced society that Singapore embodies.
